What is Lifestyle Club?

As graduates of iCan and iCan Extra we would like to invite you to join Lifestyle Club, where you can continue exercising with us indefinitely.

Being part of Lifestyle Club gives you access to weekly supervised exercise sessions:

– Every Monday at 5pm on Zoom

– Every Wednesday at 11:30am at University of Shrewsbury

– Every Thursday at 2 pm at Leegomery Community Centre, Telford

– Every Friday at 9:30am on Zoom

Lifestyle Club costs £22.99 per month to continue attending these sessions.

 

By joining the Lifestyle Club, you will be eligible for all of the below:

  • One Face to Face and one Online activity session each week (minimum)
  • Session times to be made available
  • Access to individualised programmes and reviews
  • Access to the Lifestyle Consultant team for lifestyle/activity support and advice
  • Access to online resources
    including exercise, mindfulness, videos, and other resources
  • Access to events, gatherings, webinars, and coffee mornings
  • Access to other new developments from iCan/Escape/Lifestyle
  • Access to Lifestyle full personal health and exercise consultations
  • Individual appointments (additional charges apply)

At Lifestyle Fitness, our Lifestyle Club is more like a family. The goal is to keep exercising and keep fit but we also ensure that it is enjoyable so you’ll want to keep coming back. You will create bonds with the rest of the group and our amazing, friendly staff.

Where are sessions held?

Group sessions are held throughout the community in Shrewsbury, Telford and Oswestry, Shropshire as well as online.

How often are sessions held?

2 x 1-hour sessions (times and days vary depending on location) are delivered for an initial 5-weeks by specialist cancer rehabilitation staff who provide individually tailored support to enhance activity, mindfulness, and long-term behaviour change.

What happens after the initial 5-week iCan programme?

2 x 1-hour sessions (times and days vary depending on location) are delivered for an initial 5-weeks by specialist cancer rehabilitation staff who provide individually tailored support to enhance activity, mindfulness, and long-term behaviour change.

As part of ‘iCan Extra Programme’ you can join up to 3x 45-minute group sessions per week for a further 6 weeks.

Some of these sessions will be delivered within the community and some sessions will be delivered online via Zoom.

What happens once I’ve finished iCan Extra?

We offer you the opportunity to join our ‘Lifestyle Club’ which is our paid service which provides you with an opportunity to continue your activity levels in a safe and supportive environment. See here more details.

How can our Lifestyle Club help you?

Participants in the iCan program are supported by a team of experienced and compassionate healthcare professionals, including cancer rehabilitation specialists, nutritionists, and mental health professionals. The program provides a safe and supportive environment where participants can share their experiences and connect with others who are going through a similar journey.

At the end of the 5-week iCan program, participants will have gained a range of tools and strategies to help them continue on their path towards recovery and wellbeing. The iCan program is an invaluable resource for anyone who is living with cancer and looking to improve their quality of life.
